| Family Counseling Center has a long and successful history of community mental healthcare and substance abuse service delivery to Southeast Missouri. Driven by a commitment to serving unmet behavioral healthcare needs of the area, the organization has collaborated with both public and private organizations to find effective solutions to “fill in gaps” that exist in the rural, southeastern part of the state. Family Counseling Center has provided treatment services since 1976 and currently serves 31 counties in Southeast Missouri. |

| Family Counseling Center was formed in 1976 as a small alcohol and drug outpatient facility with extremely limited resources and personnel. However, the organization did not let limited resources restrict service access to the under served for long. Since 1976 the Board of Directors and staff of Family Counseling Center have been committed to meeting unmet service needs. This commitment has allowed the organization to serve over 6,000 clients annually in Southeast Missouri. |

| Family Counseling Center's mission since inception has been to provide clients with quality behavioral healthcare services in a confidential, caring and respectful manner – without regard for a person's ability to pay. Our goal is to ensure individualized assessment, quality treatment, and access to all levels of care. |

| Family Counseling Center is recognized as a leader in providing a full array of behavioral healthcare services. Services offered include individual and group therapy, outpatient services, case management, physician services, medication management, residential services, inpatient services, housing services, 24-hour crisis intervention, and prevention / education programs. |

Family Counseling Center currently partners with the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Family Services, Division of Youth Service, Department of Corrections, Office of State Courts Administrator, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Missouri Foundation for Health, Missouri Institute of Mental Health, Netsmart Technologies , Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center, various Employee Assistance Programs and Managed Care Organizations; and is an Administrative Agent for the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
Leadership for the organization is comprised of the Board of Directors and Management Team in collaboration with input from our local Advisory Board in the communities we serve. |
